Cruising to Stitch Week October 2009
The cruise was a fabulous success! Margaret created 4 special projects just for this trip-you could choose 1, 4 or none. Some "cruisers" brought their own canvases/projects to work on as well. So we had lots of time to stitch, eat, relax and/or go on excursions. We had time to tour 3 ports- Puerto Vallarta, Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas-and we dodged Hurican Rick by sailing out to sea and coming back around the back side- more time to stitch! Some "cruisers" went to town, some went snorkeling, some just hung out on one of 13 decks. We also did a Breast Cancer Walk on the Top Deck to boot. Plans are in the works for our next cruise-maybe Alaska?????
Victoria British Columbia
May 2010
A short "Turn-Around" Cruise this time-4 days and 5 nights cruising up the coast from Los Angeles to Victoria. We left the Port of Los Angesles at 4pm on Thursday for an extended weekend of fun-filled stitching and socializing. Twenty-three of us were in attendance. Margaret Bendig was there to teach the various projects for the cruise. We also managed to sneek in some other activities such as anything and everything the ship offered, wine tasting and martini making and drinking, touring the beautiful and inspiring Butchart Gardens,Tea at the Empress Hotel on Mother's Day and shopping in Victoria. We had excellent food and service on the Coral Princess. We packed everything we could into a four night cruise to Canada.
The tulips WERE in season!!!!! Just look at the beautiful colors and flowers!!!
