Make your very own exquisite Butterfly, with wings so real they look ready to fly! There are two butterfly designs in this leaflet! On one, there is a multicoloured butterfly with brilliant pink Daisies. On the other, you can see a sunshine yellow butterfly poised on a lattice, just about to alight on a beautiful blue Hydrangea blossom ! There are several wonderful bands of whitework, beautifully highlighted with shimmering beads and metallic threads, and a gold pearl… it really takes your breath away! Stumpwork is very popular these days, and this design makes it easy. You will explore Drawn Thread techniques that will enhance your stitching experience and Diamond Eyelets as well as simple Silk Ribbon stitches to create unique and colourful flowers! You will learn to build the Stumpwork Butterfly step by step and you can see for yourself how easy it is to make and attach the wings. Some of you may recognize this design in other colours in the Butterfly Lace and the Please Don’t Eat the Daisies Cyberclasses online. Stitched on a 28 or 32 count each will fit into a 5” x 5” box top, but they can also be framed with rich matching colours, just like our cover Butterfly Lace Sampler was! Feel free to sign up for the Cyberclasses if you’d like extra help, and come and join us to learn to make this elegant and timeless keepsake for yourself! Enjoy stitching this gorgeous whitework sampler with it’s summery butterfly guest for yourself or a gift and have fun! - Thea
